Bajar & Ara Dinkjiyan Concert

Ara Dinkjiyan… He is the owner of many wonderful compositions such as Agladikca, Vazgectim, Sarisinim.
From Diyarbekir/Amed/Tigranagerd Armenians. He was born in America and had the opportunity to see Diyarbekir, where his descendants live, on the occasion of the concert he had with Kardes Turkuler years ago. His father, sound master Onnik Dinkjian, was also with them. When I asked Ara, who was born in America, how he composed compositions that smelled Anatolia and Mesopotamia, despite living so far from his homeland, he said, “I create it by imagining my father’s voice.”
We are very happy to share the stage with the humble great master, this time with Bajar.
About Bajar
Blending and bringing together Middle Eastern musical traditions and folk & rock patterns, Bajar puts hybridity, which is the concomitant of encounters in metropolitan life, at the center of his works. In addition to Kurdish lyrics, Bajar emphasizes the cultural pluralism aspect of his existing project with Turkish lyrics, which is a natural consequence of the current common life culture in Turkey, as well as bilingual works. Bajar, who values the protest style; nowadays, shares many issues with his audience, such as ghettoization, discrimination caused by cultural hierarchy, and the traces of new actual cultural norms in daily relations. In brief, Bajar has been carrying off its musical journey for 13 years as a Kurdish/Turkish protest folk rock band.
